Za'atar Parmesan Pita Chips
Let’s be serious; pita chips were made to go with za’atar. So we decided to cut out the middleman and added savory za’atar and parmesan cheese for the perfect chip to dip into hummus or labneh. Both topped with more za’atar of course.
Ingredients: 6 Pita Breads, Shredded parmesan pita chips, 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil, Z&Z Za’atar
Recipe:
Preheat the oven to 375 F.
Place the pita bread on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to cut the pita into 6 even wedges. Open each wedge, separating at the attached end to create two triangles from each wedge.
Spread the triangles, inside side up, in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Drizzle the triangles with olive oil, and sprinkle with a good amount of shredded parmesan cheese and then za’atar.
Place the baking sheets into the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes, until the chips begin to turn crisp and lightly brown.
Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack to get crunchier.
