Za'atar and Lemon Grilled Skewers

If it was up to us we’d grill all of our meals. This recipe takes your usual skewer and takes it to the next level with the amazing flavor of za’atar. It’s chicken, onions and peppers marinated in the best simple flavors and then cooked over charcoal. The perfect summer meal.

Ingredients: 2 chicken breasts, olive oil, 1 lemon, 3 garlic cloves, Z&Z Za’atar, 3 peppers (multi colors), 1 onion

    • Recipe:

      1. Flatten chicken, cut into squares, and then cut into strips.

      2. Place chicken in a bowl, drizzle olive oil, squeeze juice from 1 lemon, crush 3 garlic cloves, and add lots of za’atar

      3. Cut 3 peppers and onions into large cubes

      4. Submerge wooden skewers into a bowl of water

      5. Fold over chicken strips and place on skewer alternating with pieces of onions and peppers

      6. Bring a charcoal grill to medium heat

      7. Place the skewers on top of the grill, turning occasionally until cooked. About 10 minutes on each side.
