Za'atar Deviled Eggs
The perfect party platter. Make your deviled eggs taste a little bit more like heaven with this za’atar version.
Ingredients: 6 hard-boiled eggs, ¼ cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, ⅛ teaspoon salt, Z&Z Za’atar
Recipe:
Slice the boiled eggs in half lengthwise. Separate the whites and yolks and make sure the egg white halves have no trace of cooked yolks.
Place the egg yolks in a mixing bowl, Mash the yolks using a fork. Add mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper, and mix until blended well.
Spread za'atar on a small plate. Take an egg white half and dip into a small bowl of water, then transfer to the dish of za'atar, lightly pressing to coat the flat surface of the egg white half. Repeat for the rest of the egg whites.
Spoon or pipe a tablespoon of the filling into each egg white half.
Evenly disperse heaping teaspoons of the yolk mixture into the egg whites. Sprinkle with more za’atar and serve.
